Butch was the kindest and most considerate soldier, on or off the battlefield. His compassion for his fellow airman, touched me and will always be in my heart, and soul . His sobriety was the cohesive part of being in his company, and trusting his judgement. We always went out for a few, knowing Butchie , would get us home safely, when deployed around the globe. Once bumping into him when he was working, he stopped around Mass Ave, near my office. Looking slightly perplexed about photo copies, I offered to run whatever he needed. He declined due to his whatever. I will always miss the gruff, but loving human exterior, and the soft tone of his friendship. Happy trails to the beyond, Butch. It was an honor to where the same uniform.
