Dear Joey, So sorry about the passing of your mom and my aunt. Carmela was a wonderful women. She bridged the gap between the old ways and today’s changing troublesome and yet mangnificent developments.. I will always be grateful to Auntie Carmela for her help and guidance growing up in Cambridge. My memories are so clear recalling visits accompanying my dad to Homer Avenue for family talks with auntie and enjoying some spectacular Italian food and Uncle Joe’s home made red wine. Joey you were blessed to have her for all these years. She loved you deeply and made you the gentleman you are.

I just finished cooking dinner tonight and I thought of what Aunt Carmela said to me right after I got married. "Erin, if you can read, you can cook." Thank you Aunt Carmela! We love you
