Elizabeth A. Foresta (Previte) of Arlington, MA passed away peacefully at Woburn Nursing Center on September 10, 2019 in Woburn, MA

Born on April 14, 1934 in Brookline, MA to Josephine M. and Peter R. Previte she was raised in Waltham, MA and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Waltham. She attended Leland Powers Theatre School and loved her years as an off off Broadway actress in New York City.

She married Henry E. Foresta on September 19, 1958. The couple raised their 3 children in Arlington. Betty was the president of a small pharmaceutical company in Watertown. She was an accomplished cook, a church choir singer, an all-around music lover, and passionate Red Sox fan. Above all else she was devoted to her family. Her generosity, talents, and compassion for others will lovingly be remembered by her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her son Mark (Candace) of Arlington, her daughter Elissa of Arlington, son Stephen (Brenda) of Hull, four granddaughters: Amanda Foresta of Arlington, Stacia, Bianca, and Lucia Foresta of Hull. She is also survived by her sister Rita Paolini of Randolph, her brother Thomas Previte of Arlington, and brother Joseph Previte (Lyn) of Cohasset along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Josephine and Peter of Arlington and Hull, sister Maryann Previte, brother Paul Previte, and brother Peter Previte.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Woburn Nursing Center for their exceptional care during Betty’s illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Saturday September 21st at 10:00 am in St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St., Arlington, MA 02474. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Agnes Church.
