I've been at BU for more years than I can to say and Joanne was my go-to for all UIS security questions. I was so sad to read the news of her passing, she was such a bright light every day and her sense of humor will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family.

I was saddened to hear about Joanne's passing. My condolences to her family. She and I go back a long way at BU. I always got a kick out of working with Joanne. Even when she was trying her darndest to be the tough guy, there was a twinkle in her eye. I hadn't seen much of her since our move, but the few times I did see her before I retired in May, she always stopped in and gave me a big hug. Life is short and she knew it. She lived hers well.

I knew Joanne for many of the 15 years I have been working at BU. Both of us started early in the day and always chatted a couple of times a week in the morning when we worked in the same building. She was a close friend of mine here and I will miss her. Just called her a couple of weeks ago at home to see how she and Xena were doing. My condolences to the family.

In the 2 years that I worked for Information Security, I worked closely with Joanne on a daily basis related to the Mainframe. Often times I would lean to hear for wisdom and guidance, checking in with her daily on how's she was doing, and how Xena was doing. I'll miss chatting with you on Skype and working with you, Joanne. Rest in peace and know that you've trained me well, and that you'll always be on my mind and in my heart. Miss you already!

My condolences to Shaun and all of Joanne's family. I also worked with Joanne at UIS from the time she was doing job scheduling, through her long career in Information Security. As others have mentioned her kindness, sense of humor, her laughter will greatly be missed. May she rest in peace.
