Dearest Auntie Eva and Uncle John
My heart is so sad to hear that Johnny has left this world. I have so many, many fond memories of our childhood together at your house playing the piano in the basement and singing swimming in your pool in the summer. Johnny was always fun to be with witty and smart.
I will never forget how eloquently he presided at my mother's funeral mass and delivered a eulogy I had not the voice to speak because of my own grief.
I cannot imagine losing a child. I know you both have very deep faith in God and I know that will help you through this.
I know someday we will all be together again with my mum and dad
Love

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Picardi, I was stunned to hear that John had died. We lost touch over the years, but I certainly have many fond memories of our time together in Brighton. You have my sympathy at this time. Know that I will offer Mass for John this week.

To John's family: Please know of my prayers during this hard time. John was a great companion years ago at Saint John's Seminary. We had been in touch intermittently over the years, not so much lately, and I just wanted you to know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. He was a good man.
