MICELI - Michael, of Watertown, formerly of Cambridge, passed away April 9, 2020, from complications of Covid19. He was the devoted son of the late Salvatore "Sonny" and Josephine (Guzzetti) Miceli. Loving brother of Marie Fratto and her husband Robert of Watertown formerly of Cambridge, and Patricia Hanna and her late husband Robert of Watertown. Michael enlisted in the Navy and honorably served his country. He was employed by Harvard University, Cronkite Graduate Center, as a resident student advisor, and at the Mass Department of Transportation. Most recently, he was employed at the Mount Auburn Club. Michael was a member of Satigata, a Buddhist-oriented music group, and worked tirelessly to help build that community. Michael was a ray of sunshine in all of our lives and will be sorely missed. Michael is survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends and most especially his aunt, Sarah Falese.

Due to the Covid19 restrictions a celebration of Michael's life will be held at a future date. Donations in his name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Our dearest, darling Michael.
Words seem so inadequate and I just can't believe I am writing this condolence to YOU!!!! How tragic can it be for a person like you, so loving and caring left this earth so soon, really too soon. Michael I met you on July 3 1971. I didn't even know you then you were friends for years with my wife Ann Lavigna. But that day was my wedding day and you came to the steps of sacred Heart Church to see your old friend Ann Lavigna in her wedding dress.
I would always joke with you Michael that July 3 1971 was our anniversary as well. Our anniversary is coming on 49 years and their are soooooo many memories I can share but I will keep it as brief as possible. You know what a blabber mouth I can be so please indulge and humor me.
Michael you were always a part of my family you know that. My mother adored you and you loved when she'd ; say " JESUS" holding her hands to the sky" those who knew my mother know what I am talking about. You loved when she did that and use to mimick her. Aside from the obvious wife Ann and me my whole family was crazy about you. My daughter Renee who saw you two weeks before you died in 7/11 hugged and kissed you.
My brother Ronnie who always called you Mikey, my sister Jean, and my sister Marialana.
My niece Robin Lynn you and I were the dynamic trio. Our countless nights on my back porch singing, imbibing, eating and what ever else that's now legal. Our trips to Warren New Hampshire to my boss's barn that massive wonderful place. You always chose the bedroom above the kitchen and robin always chose the bedroom next to the genomic fire place. You would stick your head out your inside bedroom window , yes the windows opened into the barn and yell Molly Goldberg, Molly Goldberg.. Our hippie friends Deb and Ned who always wanted you to sing message to Michael (Dionne Warwick) We would roar!!!!!!!

Ann's sister who had you wipe off tomato seeds off her ceiling we roared (how did they get up their?)
Connie and Jim Frasier, Bobby Larsen, Joey Bisque too many to name but what ;fun and happiness we had and shared.
The time I played and put on Elton John type glasses and a cape singing Club at the end of the street. and the time I played a graduate of Marijuana High in a cap and gown. The time you played a customer from ANNE and HOPE to make my sister jean laugh. Bobby Caruso Ann and I will miss our Monday afternoon lunches
You were taken too soon that virus is a scourge, indiscriminate and will take soooo many more people . You know I believe in GOD and our paths will cross again Heck our family's and loved ones will rendezvous once again in HEAVEN!!!!
Michael we will miss you and we love you forever
Rest in peace dearest buddy and friend
Ann Ray Renee Gomes

I'll emphasis its hard to condense 50 years of memories in the almost 50

My deepest sympathy to all of Michael's family and friends. We knew each other growing up in Cambridge, where everyone knew everyone, my sister and his cousin were always with him as teens. So sorry, so sad, gone too soon. My thoughts and prayers to all🙏💕 R.I.P. Mike

Condolences to Marie, Patty and the entire family and to you, dear Michael, our own " Neil Diamond". I remember with joy our last recording when my rendition of "Cher" toppled you over with laughter for years to come, and my baby sister's singing talent that amazed and delighted us both.
Your musical expertise, your generosity and the sunshine you brought to and freely shared with others will long be remembered.
See you "next time around".
